Slot Drain System

The slot drain system's important component is the metal drain grating, which is used to cover, protect, and strengthen the drainage channel. There are different styles available, such as stainless steel slot drain covers, galvanized steel drain covers, cast iron channel covers, and invisible manhole covers . These options offer high levels of customization, including size, shape, drainage capacity, and load-bearing capabilities.

Stainless steel slot ditch covers are usually made of 201/304 stainless steel. They come in different shapes like rectangles, curves, circles, and right angles, with thickness ranging from 1.5mm to 5mm. The slots can be positioned on the sides, middle, or both sides, and can have a single, double, triple, or quadruple configuration based on specific needs. These covers are perfect for places that require high-quality paved landscapes. They can be used with various ground paving materials, including polymer drainage channels, polymer concrete trench drains, and plastic trench drains. Once installed, they can handle a load capacity of up to C250 (25 tons).

It's recommended to have narrow slots with a width of around 10mm (but not exceeding 12mm) to prevent women's high heels from getting stuck. Simultaneously, these slots act as filters, preventing tree branches, leaves, and large stones from entering the drain while allowing rainwater to flow smoothly. The evenly spaced slots ensure continuous water flow and efficient drainage. These covers are highly suitable for plazas, parking lots, residential areas, fountain landscapes, parks, swimming pools, basketball courts, as well as chemical and food processing areas.

How To Install Trench Drain System?

1. Planning and Design: Start by determining the location and size of the channel drainage system, taking into account factors such as the terrain, water flow direction, and rainfall amount to ensure effective drainage.

2. Marking the Location: se stakes or markings to accurately identify the position where the channel drainage will be installed, ensuring proper layout of the system.

3. Excavating the Trench: Use excavators or shovels to dig the trench according to the marked location of the channel drainage. The excavation size is typically larger than the dimensions of the drainage channel.

4. Pouring the Trench Base: Pour a stable and supportive base for the channel drainage by using cement concrete that meets the required load-bearing standards.

5. Installing the Drainage Channel: Install the sections of the drainage channel into the trench, ensuring they are connected to the drainage system as per the design requirements. The end of the channel should be connected to a sewer or other drainage facility.

6. Securing the Channel: Use concrete or other materials to pour side wings along the edges of the channel drainage at a height matching the ground level, preventing displacement and water seepage.

7. Waterproof Treatment: If necessary, use asphalt silicone or waterproof sealants to treat the joints and gaps between adjacent channel drainage sections.

8. Cleaning and Securing the Cover: Clean any debris from inside the channel drainage before installing the cover, ensuring that the drainage system is fully operational.
